Here we are at the end of a fantastic year for Steltronic and its popular Focus free upgrade software. With more than 270 lanes installed in 2017 into all types of locations, from personal homes, arcades, bowling centers, and family entertainment centers, a total of 58 different locations in America makes this year our best year yet with the most new locations installed in a single year.

Here are a few of the upgrade features in the new version of software:

• Go back feature:
  • Many times, the cashier is helping the customer by adding games to the lane, rental shoes, selecting different rates, and then continues onto the payment collection screen. Once you arrive at the payment screen, the customer needs to change something, and now with Focus version 16.4, the cashier has the ability to go back and change anything necessary. We listened to the cashier and management suggestions, and instead of the “point-of-no-return” payment screens, the new version of Steltronic Focus allows you to go back as many steps as needed to satisfy the customer last minute modifications.
• Coupons and sales tax:
  • We all know the value of coupons advertised with social media and the power they have to drive business into your center. With many states now making sales tax restrictions on how coupons can be used & sales taxed, the new version of Steltronic Focus allows the management to decide how a cash coupon is taxed. Some states make it law that sales tax should be collected on the total sale (before the coupon is deducted), while other states allow the coupon to reduce the entire sale and then sales tax can be applied.
  • New daily reports also detail for the management how much coupon use has been used to show you gross sales versus cash sales with coupons.
• Sales tax rounding:
  • With the new version of Focus version 16.4, the scoring system always had sales tax rounding, but a new feature to round the sales tax to ZERO is available now as an option.
