The world famous MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada recently contacted Infinity Bowl to install 4 bowling “mini-lanes” of duckpin bowling, and as duckpin bowling has been growing in popularity in the United States, along with Steltronic automatic scoring, the lanes are open for business in Vegas. With shorter lanes, a smaller bowling ball, smaller pins, and three tries to knock over all 10 duckpins, this game has proven to be very exciting.

With more than 15 separate 3rd party integrations and 95 different modules in the Steltronic scoring system, one of them is swiping a magnetic card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to activate the game and set the pins onto the lane. Duckpin Bowling is played with 10 bowling pins, however they are much smaller than traditional tenpins, and because the pins are smaller, you also have a smaller sized bowling ball to knock them all down – with 3 shots per frame.

Another benefit to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is the pinsetter is taking care of the knocked over pins with a string attached to the bowling pins. This leads to fewer mechanical parts, less inventory, electrical power savings, and most of all, less breakdowns of the pinsetter. A few tangled pins with the strings is all handled flawlessly by the electronics in the pinsetter for a smooth and enjoyable game.
